Huge increase in electricity bill! August 29, 2010 Allison M (NJ) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
My husband bought this product, hooked it up, and we were happy with it-- until we got our electricity bill. This pump raised our bill by ONE HUNDRED dollars! So good product, but be ready for a huge increase in your electricity bill.

Dehumidifier and pump August 17, 2010 Lawrence C. Azevedo (Wallingford, CT USA) I bought two items:
Little Giant VCMA-15ULS Condensate Removal 1/50 HP Pump with Safety Switch
Frigidaire FAD704TDP 70-Pint Dehumidifier, White
The prices were better than any local or web prices I found. Installation was easy. Performance has been great. It cleared out the basement mustiness in one day.
Recommend that you buy the installation package offered with the pump.
Great pump August 1, 2010 Joe America 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this pump to remove the condensation from my dehumidifier in my basement. It works great. I never have to worry about emptying the dehumidifier bucket. The pump has no problem pumping water up to the basement sink from the floor, (about 3 feet).
16 years and never missed a beat July 22, 2010 Craigster (Rochester, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this pump in 1994 to get rid of condensate from a new Carrier Infinity ultra-high efficiency (96%) furnace and the whole house A/C installed with the furnace. I must admit, I probably have only cleaned this unit twice in all those years and it still pumps with unbelieveable reliability. Our situation is fairly demanding, it pumps up 7 feet and across the basement ceiling for 45 feet to drain in a laundry tub. I'm using 1/2" PVC tubing and it has always worked flawlessly. How can you go wrong with such a reliable unit, plus it's very quiet, not that I care all that much in my basement! This pump is a winner! Sure beats the other option the contractor offered: drilling a hole in the basement floor and running all that water under the slab! Had I done that, I'm sure our already damp basement would be even mustier. It already costs me about $75 a month during the summer to run two dehumidifiers full time.
